The Mid-American Model United Nations is the largest high school model United Nations in the mid-west. Since 1974, students from Missouri, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Kansas have participated at MAMUN.
MAMUN gives high school students the opportunity to learn about international affairs, while at the same time allowing them to improve their communication, research and negotiation skills.
The 37th Mid-American Model UN will be held on November 7-8, 2011 at the Plaster Student Union on the campus of Missouri State University.
Participating schools are assigned a country to represent in the committees simulated at MAMUN. Each country may send up to two students per committee. Conference fees are $60 per country and $35 for Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), with each country consisting of up to 12 students and each NGO allowing up to 4 students. To register, contact the World Affairs Council at Hammer636@live.missouristate.edu.
